Every new home, cottage or addition must be approved by the municipality before construction can begin. You must provide the governing authority with construction documents (blueprints) and upon review will receive a Plan Review Sheet that lists items for the contractor to keep in mind during construction. Once this review sheet has been received, construction can commence. The code reviewer will charge a fee for the plan review and for the inspections that occur during construction.
